Default Heating vent issues

I just replaced my blower motor on my 01 zr2 and my next issues to fix is the heat only comes out of the face vents. the dial turns and i can get a little to come out of the windsheild one but no matter what setting i set it on it still blows out the face vent and none of the other. If anyone has fixed this problem before or have any idea what the issues could be i would gratefull

could be the blend door motor. or the blend door is getting stuck. can you hear the motor working? turn the key on, engine off, then you can move the temp **** and listen to see if you can hear the motor moving the door.

I got that same problem kinda. Except my heater is stuck on Dash Vent. Will not switch to anyother vents. I know why this is but I haven't fixed it yet do to other things being more important. That Vent Selector Switch is a Vacuum Switch. And on mine, the little hoses are shot. They hiss alot. I did a manual plug once w/ my finger & it did switch to another vent. I don't know if you have the same Vacuum Switch but check it out. RockAuto sells them fairly cheap.

It's a vacuum issue. Start looking at the vacuum lines under the hood. Even if you think they look ok, you'll still need to test each one with a MityVac or something similar. Pics are here (scroll down); this is a '96 4X4 but the only difference is you have a vacuum canister in the driver's side fender well instead of that ball thing hanging from the hood. If the vacuum lines under the hood check out ok, start looking at the vacuum actuators under the dash and behind the glove box. Pics are here.

The blend door motor does not control which vents the air comes out; it only controls whether you get hot or cold air.

Default Is there a good writeup of how to check the vacuum lines....

...for the vent system? I have a 98 2WD blazer w/ 215K (still rocking, had it since 2000), right now the vents only stay in face/vent mode and I can't defrost windshield. I saw this thread and thought I'd just add to it. I also have a few other questions...

1. Has anyone used hubcentric spacers? Found a set on Ebay for $110.00 for 4 not 2....I need them because I'm running 275 45 20s on the ride and the front wheels rub...right now I have on 1/2" spacers with extra long lug nuts on the fron and 1/4" spacers on back with a couple long lugs just to make sure they'll stay on...the regular size lugs only gife me about 4 turns

2. I have a sort of squealing noise coming from around my intake. I'm pretty sure I just need to get an intake gasket set to put on it and it should be fine....has this ever come up before? Is it common? I know I have plenty of miles on the truck so if not I'll probably do it anyhow.

3.Does anyone know where I can p/u some interior trim pcs for a good deal? I'm sure you all know the defrost trim is junk....I've gone thru two, need a new one again, junkyards around KC seem to be out....I also need the trim for the drivers side seat...the trim part that holds the power seat controls is in two pcs.

4. where can I get a good/cheap mighty vac? I saw a brake bleeder set at Harbor Freight, but a lot of their stuff is junk and I don't think it has a gauge...figured I could use it for this and to check my crankcase breather lines on my 01 Saab 95.
