Default help with brake system

I always thought I needed new brakes, but not even. I exited the freeway too fast and tried to slow round a curve and my brakes and pedal felt like they were clicking and wasnt slowing me down. It does that while im turning trying to slow down. Im not really mechanically inclined so I need help, because I have a few problems. the engine also roars from time to time, I think its the fan clutch but not sure.

How hard are you braking? If you are slowing down to the maximum ability of the brakes, you could be having some ABS intervention.

The roaring could be the fan clutch, but your post is a little lite on details...

this only happens when im turning and not very often, but maybe your right. Im more concerned with the roar, I had 2 people look and 1 said the fan has a slight wobble to it. Is there any other things I should be looking for.

Default ABS on during turn

My old '96 would engage the ABS inappropriately during a right turn. That is, the ABS would activate during a mild, no skid condition. The fellow that put ball joints on didn't secure the ABS sensor lead and it rubbed through on the inside of the wheel. Right turn and the wire rubbed. Expensive new hub just to get the new ABS sensor and lead. ^%$@#@*&%*
Check out both sensor leads for chaffing.
And the 4.3L clutch fans are notorious for noise when engaged.
Hope this helps.
