Default Help changing rusted fuel filter and lines

Quick disconnect end came off no problem. On the nut end the nut is rusted to the fuel line so bad, that even after extensive lubricant and elbow grease trying to twist off the nut it twisted the fuel line completely where it meets the fuel filter. I have read about cutting the fuel line and replacing with rubber fuel hose. looks like my best option considering fuel line is also rusted and bent now. What I cant figure out is how to hook the new hose to the filter? How would I connect the new hose with the nut fitting on the Fuel Filter? Do I need a different type of fuel filter?

places like Napa sell repair lines that allow you to retain the original filter and then you can patch it in with fuel injection grade hose and fuel injection fuel line clamps

Just replaced all mine last weekend. used the compression fittings and short metal ends. The b a r b e d connectors don't work. Had the nylon hose in boiling water for 20 min, and I still couldn't get them to fully insert. Replaced filter with one that has quick connects on both ends. (Nappa part #23243) Now all my lines along the drivers side frame rail have been replace.

for future reference, dont try twisting the line off the fuel filter, twist the filter off the line. every other fuel filter i do that threaded end is FUBAR but most situation you can just unscrew the filter off and leave the seized line in place. unless you have a double threaded end filter then your screwed.

but as the other posters said they sell a repair kit, had to use one on my 1990 fullsize with double threaded ends, had to break one of them. anyways if you dont have a napa near you autozone or advance should sell that too
