i have severly rusted transmission lines on a 1994 s10 4wd. 4dr. 4.3 w blazer with 160k. i need to replace these lines. does any body know what size the lines are? The lines are ok about 3 inches from the fittings, transmission and radiator, but the rest of the lines are bad. i can not find any info. on the search site

 

well, i found out that these lines are 5/16 od. steel. i can get some 5/16 od lines from the auto parts store ,and some unions and piece them out. i was going to use trans. rubber lines, but the exhaust pipe is too close and may cook the rubber and then split open.

 

you can buy prefabbed lines from napa pretty cheap . they even come with the retaining clips. way easier than makin them.
