Help!!! Identify this part!!! two questions
So i bought this 2000 chevy blazer 4dr 4wd 6 years ago from a dealership and they told me it used to be a patrol car on an indian reservation...Thanks in advance!
So the first question is: Last week i noticed under the driver side back door that a wire was sticking out...I wraped it around a metal slab so it wouldnt stick out and tryed finding where it leads to...The end that is striped leads no where but looks like would go all the way to the front. The other end is attached to some sort of fuse looking deal that is attached to some sort of black rectangular shape box which i have no idea what it is...I just hope this doesnt sound like a stupid question cause i have no idea if this part comes standard on all blazers.
The second question is: I noticed that on my dash i have a plate with 2 wholes in it...I looked up other blazers and this would be the location for rear windshield wipers which wasnt a feature on my blazer. I was wondering what the random cord was behind the plastic plate.

The first pic is a relay. The second looks like a speaker from a PA system. You should be able to remove both if you want or just leave them alone.
The wire is probably the wire for the wipers. Even though it wasn't on your truck GM made the 1 wire harness for most trucks and then just used which connectors they needed and hid the rest.

GM made very comprehensive wiring harnesses for their vehicles. I had a 1984 LeSabre and I wanted to install the dash clock from the pre-84 cars. When I took the dash panel off I found the complete wiring for the clock was in the car. It was just taped off because it wasn't used on the 84-85 LeSabres. I removed the tape from the wire bundle and installed a pre-84 clock and dash panel and it worked perfectly.
