Default Help Identifying a Couple of Wires

After I was done installing a new throttle cable on my 2000 Jimmy, I noticed these wires that aren't connected to anything. The red wire has a ring terminal, and the blue has no terminal, just a bare wire. The wires are wrapped in electrical tape. They are connected to a cable that runs from the fuse/relay box. Any idea what these are? Seems not right to have a bare wire, plus the fact that they're not connected to anything. If someone needs me to trace the wire coming from the fuse block to help with identification, let me know. Thank you. I might have an idea what it is, but I'd rather not guess.

Does everything work on the truck? If so I wouldn't worry about them. I would tape them back up & drive & enjoy your Blazer.

Well, not everything works, but I think that those wires aren't related to the things that don't work (cruise control, A/C, rear window washer). I think. This is a total shot in the dark, but it looks like the cable that the wires in question are attached to runs down to the frame, towards the rear. To the fuel pump? Are these wires related to the fuel pump prime connector? I know the prime connector has a red wire, but the blue?, who knows. Like I said, shot in the dark, still learning. Thanks for the reply.

That wire is for a 7 prong rv plug if you go to the rear of the truck and look under the bumper you should see a bundle of wires wrapped in tape. thats them. The red one with the ring terminal is 12v constant and the blue one would run in the truck to hook to a brake controller. Hope this helps

That helps a lot. Thank you very much!! So I take it this is different from a regular trailer hook-up? There is already one of those installed. So just out of curiosity, would the bundle of wires in the bumper stretch all the way to the front to connect with the blue and red? I'd go out and look at it right now if it wasn't dark out. Thanks again for helping.

Yea you must have the 4 flat hook up those are to use along with that to have a constant 12v for the brake system on the trailer and the blue is used with a brake controller to control the the breaking gain to the trailer. Or you could use them for any thing..... they are one continuous wire from the engine bay to the rear of the truck. I used mine for a train horn set up!!!!!! saves time form you having to lay on your back.
