Give us a clue. The sound is from the engine compartment, the passenger's side dash, the vents - Where?

I ahd a Pontiac SunBird that did that. It ended up being caused by me running the radiator low on fluid and it in turn pulled the coolant out of the heater core. When I filled it back up it made kind of a leaking/ rushing water sound till the system was full and the air was all out. Just an idea.
