Default HELP!!!!! Not sure what this is

Ok I changed my tires today from 275 275 17's to 265 65 17's, Left the 75's on the back just changed the fronts, I have a feeling the right front wheel bearing is going,
so i'm driving and switch into 4 hi at around 1200 rpm's from 2wd around 10 mph and hear a loud whining noise.
What would cause this and is it the bearings?
The car won't pull forward while ideling on its own, being off the brake it doesn't move forward at all feels like i'm on the brake, Truck slows down as soon as i come off the gas, like i'm braking.

Please help asap

Thanks In advance

Brian

Can't have different size tires while running 4WD. That's the short answer, I'm sure someone will provide a more detailed answer to help you out. Bottom line though, put the same size tires on front and back (or a tire/rim combo that's the same height).

Check out this thread for a little more info, I found it with a quick search.

He is right, running different overall diameters will cause your transfer case and differentials to make noises and not work whether you are in 2wd or 4wd. If you have 4wd you can't run different overall diameter wheels and tires.

To better explain basically you switched from a 32" tire to a 30" tire in the front. This tire has less traveling surface and thus has to spin faster when going the same speed as the rears. When you enguage 4wd it tries to turn the front and rear at the same speed. Since the fronts are smaller they wont cover as much ground with each turn as the rears so they will fight each other. Thus thisputs strain on the transfer case and causes the whining noise that you hear.
