Hi / Lo Beam HID conversion

Hi / Lo Beam HID conversion
2000 Blazer LS 4X4-Canadian truck with DRL as Hi beams.
I asked about marker lights being used as DRL in another thread. Did not get many answers, so I decided to abandon that project for now.
Here is what I did to my headlights and the results:
Lo beams are 8000K-9006 HID Extra kit
Hi beams are 6000K-9005 HID Extra kit
I grounded the YELLOW wire from the Lo beam (driver side) to get the Quad lights working.
I did not touch the DRL rellay under the hood. To my surprise now my DRL are my Lo beams, where before I changed the stock set-up the DRL were the Hi beams at half power. I have no idea what is going on, but the way it works now is fine with me. Just wanted to let you guys know how the conversion to HID turned out for me, maybe it will help someone else out.
Thanx RepoRob

By grounding the yellow wire, you are effectively making the low beams be on all of the time. Your HID bulbs will wear out faster in this configuration.
If I get some time, I'll figure out another way to do the quad beam mods. But lately, I barely have time to help everyone here and get all of my own stuff done.
