Home transmission flush - 98 Blazer - HELP!
Ok I've seen youtube videos and heard people say if you take the bottom trans cooler line from your radiator and put a hose on it, you can pump out the transmission fluid as long as you do it a quart or two at a time and add more fluid while you're doing it. Well, good lord!! You have no room to get a damn hose on the bottom line unless you bend the hell out of the line. It's right up against the radiator. Any other options?? I want to do this and drop the pan and change the filter. I am having no luck. Just making a hellacious mess on my garage floor. Any tips MUCH appreciated! Thanks!

Take off the top line & adapt the port on the radiator to a hose to run to your bucket. Do the same with the other line just in case someone swapped things down the line.
While you have the pan off, replace it with one that has a drain plug in it.

Thanks for the advice! I got a new pan on ebay for 30 bux. Chrome, has fins to keep it cooler, and a drain plug in the bottom. And then I bought a transmission cooler fitting with a piece at the end to put a hose on. It was very easy to pump out the fluid a couple quarts at a time, filling it back up between purges. Now I have beautiful red fluid!!! Thanks!
