new here, fisrt post...

so i picked up a 96 blazer with some minor problems. one of them being the spring to the hood latch comming off. i thought it would hold till the next time i go to pop it. well i got it home and it will not pop at all. the cable pulls , and there is a clicking sound comming from under the hood , but it wont pop.
i tried to get my hand between the grill and mess with it , but my arm is too big and i couldnt get my fingers in there. does anyone havea solution to this? i tried jumping on the hood , holding the cable and pulling on the hood , shaking it , scream at it, nothing worked. i know there has to be a way....

 

usually you can pull up on the corner of the hood firmly and it will pop open.

 

i tried that and it felt like i was going to rip the hood off. ill try it again though.

If its a 96 isnt the latch in the middle?? If it is sometimes you can use your fist and bang easly it will pop, or at the corner close the windshield and alon the drivers side of hood

 

i finally got it open. dont know how though. i was lifting on the hood like a maniac and it decided to lift up just enough to get my hand in there.

truck wont start. got aeverything transfered nd legal, now it wont start.
when i turn the key it just clicks, but the tach and spedo start going up and the dash lightsflicker.could it be the starter going? ignition?

 

u try to jump it? usually when it clicks it means that battery doesnt have enough juice

 

Multiple clicks means usually battery, one click and nothin means usually starter

 

it was the battery. runs fine now.
