well I got a magnaflow muffler put on awhile back, and had the tailpipe cut to weld a tip coming straight out the back. Even after a short trip the air coming through the tip is very hot. even to the point of wearing some of the finish off my tip. any ideas on what I should check or what I should look for?

 

ive got a cat back with dual exits and my pipes do get quite hot but the tips still look brand new. i would suggest getting a new quality tip, i have stainless steel tips and love them.
