How bad is p0302?
#11
So I will update, so if anyone does a search, could maybe shed some light.
symptoms were a really rough idle, no ***** when given gas. CEL was wiped by previous owner, so I could not say for sure if anymore codes came with this code.
I started with the spark plugs, this did not fix the problem, but they were really worn so it did run better afterwards.
next step was distributor cap and rotor. I did not replace the whole distributor, as it would start without an issue. Again the cap and rotor where really worn, so this too helped run better but does not fix the problem.
With a pressure test done, it showed that my injector 5 and 6 where both clogged. Replaced with a "new to me" spider injector, and PROBLEM SOLVED.
I'm sure if the pressure test was the first to be done, I could have saved the money on plugs and distributor parts, but as I plan on keeping the vehicle, it made more sense to swap them out.
