That's a possibility! thx. But do you mean the front springs? Also, I have had my share of front end bumps, could that have pushed the wheels back somehow?

Puttster, I keyed in on this statement in your opening post.----
" they were rubbing on the rear wheel wells........."
I am now guessing you meant to say: they were rubbing on the rear of the front wheel wells........

Yes, yes. I like the lowered look of the Xtreme so raising it up is not a good solution for me, but now I do wonder if the same wheels would fit fine on a base model blazer, because it sits higher..

It's irritating for me, there are times when you have to turn to the max and that's when the tires bump up on the wheel well. In fact it's stopping me from getting an alignment because maybe those bumps will throw off the toe.

A guy from a body shop told me I could fix the problem of tires rubbing in the wheel wells by putting in some spacers, maybe 1" spacers. Since the tires rub only on the last ~1" of turn, maybe it will work. But maybe there will be unintended consequences, too. Thoughts? .

You might think about locating some inner fender wells from a ZR2 equipped Blazer. From what I understand they should have a larger inside diameter than what you have since they were made to clear 31 inch tires. I know the ones I've seen are stamped ZR2 on them so it should be pretty easy to tell if they're the real deal or not. You could also Google "static drops" for Blazers. Some of the California guys really slam their rides but I don't know for sure if they even use inner fender wells.

This is OP a year later. I've come to realize that the tires are rubbing on the sway bar. Maybe they're not hitring wells at all. I guess the problem is more related to the width of the tire than the height.
