Default How do I get to the Dash Light Bulbs?!!!

So I went to take an emissions test and failed because my service engine soon light wont come on, so I am assuming that the only answer is that it is burnt out. I took most of the dash of until I got stuck at the panel behind the plastic glass and cant get behind it to see the bulbs. Here is a video of exactly where I am at with it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YmVjLBcIeA

- Do you really have to take off the steering wheel to get to it or something?? PLEASE HELP!

P.s. I'm no car expert I'm just a dude who is to cheap to pay someone else to do a job I can do myself (with your guys help lol)

Take a 15 MM socket and drop the steering wheel. Then you can take it right out. I have done this several times. It AIN'T coming out till the wheel is down a few inches!!!

so are you saying to remove the plastic part around the steering wheel (where the hazard light button is on) and remove the bolt that keeps the steering wheel on? When I opened up the plastic covering it looked pretty intimidating so i put it back on but if its possible just to drop it without actually removing it altogether it would be nice

When you remove the lower valance panels, you can look up just past the plastic surround you put back in place. There are 2 15mm nuts that hold the column to the dash. You might have to take a flashlight to see them. Use a long extention and you can get to them pretty easy. Take those loose and the column will drop enough for you to take the cluster out. Hope this helps.
