How hard would it be to change from column to floor shifter?

I'm wondering the same thing. There's two Blazer's at the salvage yard with floor shifter that I've been eyeballing.

I've been thinking about doing the same with my 1st gen Jimmy. I did some research a few weeks ago, I don't remember the sites I found that explained it though. It seemed extremely easy, but this was for installing a B&M or Hurst floor shifter not a stock swap.

you would still have the symbols on your instrument cluster, so it would look kinda weird

actually no, I saw some clusters on ebay that can be a direct replacement for the floor shift.

oh ok then...

i dont blame you guys for wanting the floor shifter. my dads 96 has the column and i hate it, my 97 has the floor and i love it!
