Default how many qts. for front and back diff?

looking to change out my diff fluid. i was wondering how many quarts it would take to do both front and back? did some searching on the site and the only real number i found was i think 2.5 for the rear? going to order some royal purple online and need an exactish number because the stuff is not cheap! also will changing the transfer case fluid help anything? giving its not spinning all the time, or is it? new to the whole 4x4 thing. thanks in advance!!!

front 1.3 quarts, rear.... it depends. 1.75 quarts or 2.15 depending on the ring gear. This is for a 2000 so it's probably pretty much the same for all S-10 Blazers (you didn't say what you had). If you have the transfer case with auto I'd recommend changing it just in case, fluid gets pretty black with clutch material. USE THE GM AUTO TRACK FLUID in the auto transfer case.
