How to read obd1.5 codes
After doing a lot of research tonight on how to read trouble codes on a 1995 Blazer, I discovered something that might be helpful to everyone. Apparently, it is also possible to read trouble codes using a paper clip on vehicles with "obd1.5" All you have to do is bridge pins 3 & 4 (instead of 1 & 2) on the 16 pin obdII port underneath the dash, and the "Service Engine Soon" light flashes the code. I know that this works, because I was able to pull the codes from mine.
Thanks to Tink and another poster on forums.s-series.org for this information!

Is nobody interested in this? I thought it was a big deal when I was able to read the codes in my '95 without a scan tool since everyone on here and my Haynes manual says you have to have one.

As stated in the other thread, this method will work to pull OBD1 type two digit codes from the OBD1.5 specific vehicles, but will not pull the OBD2 (Pxxxx) type codes that these vehicles can also set. For that, a compatible scan tool is required.

My truck has the OBD 1.5 built in late 94 (its a 95 model tho) and I have only had obd2 codes thrown so I havent needed this but its a good thing to know.
