How to remove my wiper arm

I have a 2003 Chevy Blazer. I am wondering how do I remove the wiper arm. I used to own a 1993 Chevy S-10 and I remember just yanking then off. But when I tried to do the same with the Blazer, it would not come off. I didn't want to pull real hard in case there would be more damage. The reason why I want to remove is I started the wipers when they were frozen and have not realized it. In the wiper my side, something seems stripped. I hope it can be fixed by just buying a new arm.

There is a nut that holds it on. Lift the little trim cover off and remove the nut.

If its stripped and the wiper does not move but the motor does your probably gonna have to get a new wiper motor transmission from a wrecker yard. Also wouldn't hurt to get the wiper arms with it when you buy it.

Ok,I was going to replace my wiper arms because the splines(Grips) were striped. Went to the Auto Parts store and since they didn't have in stock, ordered them. Went back and saw no spline on the replacement and didn't really fulfill my order. Well, I left the replacement there, but here comes the questions. Do OEM wiper arm replacement have the spline in them? I have a 2003 Chevy Blazer.
