Default How do you remove wiper arms?

I'm trying to remove the panel that's full of trash that runs along the bottom of the windshield and need to remove both wiper arms. I thought these type just push and pull on but I'm afraid if I try any harder I'll screw something up.

They should just press on and off, get a scrap piece of 1x4 or 2x4 and lay a rag down under it and using a large screwdriver pry them up carefully using the board as leverage. A shot of WD40 might help too.

Lift them up and put in a small nail or drill bit through the small hole on the arm. That will keep the blade lifted and you can wiggle the arm up.

Do that and you will damage the catch in the wiper arm and be replacing the arms.
