Default HVAC flushing the vacuum lines

hello everyone. i have searched the DIY threads and they dont cover my problem at all. i recently had the bad input shaft seal on my transfer case and had it so long that transmission fluid got throughout my car in all the vacuum lines practically. i blew most of them out as much as i could but now i am at a loss. it got into the HVAC system and i cant find a way to clear out the lines.

does anyone know how to do this? is it so complicated that i should just take it to a shop and see how much they would charge? im really confused here and i need help!!!

any type of advice is welcome. this is just one of the quirks im trying to fix in my car before summer rolls around.

also i can change the temperature and how fast the fan blows i just cant choose where the heat or AC is blown. i can either choose completely off or defroster and feet vents.

thanks for the feedback everyone!!!!

A shop will likely just replace the lines rather than clean them. I would recommend this for the lines under the hood and what runs to/from the transfer case, but that can get expensive quick if you are doing this under the dash. I would remove all of the HVAC actuators from under the dash as well and make sure they are free of contamination from the ATF in the system.

A quick search for "flush+vacuum+lines" turned up this thread:
transfer vacuum switch - Bad again?

i know about the lines in the engine. im talking about the lines inside my dash. they are vacuum lines right? i had my dash somewhat apart the other day and saw what looked like the same color lines from behind the heater control. it was orange. do you know what color activates or leads to what setting? and it would also help to know where each actuator is where under the dash before i just go ripping things out.

Yes, I am aware of what you are talking about. They are vacuum lines under the dash as well, however, they are not rubber like the lines under the hood, but rather are plastic. They get cleaned using the same method I linked to above.

I have posted schematic views of the 96-97 hvac controls in the past. I'm sure you'll be able to find them using some creative search criteria. Something like "hvac+vacuum+diagram" should turn up the pertinent results.

For actual locations, just follow the lines from the back of the switch.
