Default I am concerned with my oil pressure.

I changed my oil a little while ago and had like 40 to 45 pressure at idle. Its been like two week and now it 30 to 35 pressure. I am not too sure if that is good. I got leaky oil lines @ the radiator I have not gotten around to fixing yet can this be the reason? What is your oil pessure's lowest reading?

Is it your tranny or the engine? It may be the oil pressure sending unit, the oil pump itself, I don't know. Go and "rent" an oil pressure test guage and put its results on this thread. Good luck.

At a cold start up the needle goes right around 60 psi for my engine oil pressure. Then back down to normal after it warms up.

My engine oil. How does one of the oil pressure guages work and go connected to?

my oil pressure guage goes to 3/4 on cold startups, then after it warms up it varies between just over 1/3 and 2/3.

Mine runs at 25-30psi at idle at full temp. So long as it doesn't drop down below 20psi, you should be fine. Keep an eye on it though. If it fluctuates alot, get another oil change done ASAP. Fluctuation could be caused by cavitation in the oil, making it foam up. This will cause the pump to suck air and air in the oil passages is BAD!!!

Oil pressure will flucuate with engine rpms. The faster the engine spins the higher the oil pressure.

Oil pressure will also fluctuate with the amount of oil in your system, if you are low on oil, you will see lower oil pressure then normal.

Oil pressure will also fluctuate with oil temp. If the oil is cold it will be thicker and not flow as well, it will also cause higher oil pressure readings. Once the oil warms up, it flow flow properly and the readings will drop back down to normal.

In your case, check your oil level after the engine is up to operating temp. Shut the engine off, and let if sit for a minute or two. Letting it sit will let the oil level settle back down. One thing that was very good was checking your oil level at the gas station. After you get the pump going, check the level. Add as needed.
