Are you taking it back to the dealership to get the codes read??? Autozone, Advanced, and many other autoparts retailers will check the codes for free. I know for a fact that Autozone and Advanced will even print you out a little reciept that has the codes clearly listed out. They might not always be right as to the meaning of the code, but that's what online databases like OBDII.com Code Listing are for.

Not to mention that a good code reader can be had for $60 and an even better one for $100. The more you pay, the better the reader in most cases. Myself, I have an AutoTap. Just used mine tonight on my cousin's Neon R/T.

Is the Auto tap a program to be intalled in a laptop becuase I have no laptop to intall it in. What is another alternative. I did not know autozone reads codes for free. I will difenitely take advantage of that. I will still like my own .
