To start out correctly I'll give some back ground.. I bought a 95 4dr,4.3L,vin"w" for 500 buck. Excellent interior/extiorior and told (like the game telephone) the "engine was fried". The engine was half way disasemble. Talked to a mechanic and pointed me to intake gaskets like many threads I've read...bingo! Since most of the work was done I desided to go ahead a pull the motor for a rebuild. Since I'm going for a rebuild mine as well go for some mods that I might have/want to do later.
I have spent the last month reading threads... and finding out alot. One of things I have desided to do is the oiling issue, seems to be no confusion on that point.

The things I need input with because of major debate is heads,cams,exhaust..etc
[ol][*]HEADS - I understand no aftermarket exist(not really) and understand the mods to change but if I am going to have machine work done would it be better to have a diffrent set of heads done? maybe a set that didnt have the "eyebrow" things[*] CAMS - I have read that go with a bigger cam but also have read the contrary that the high output doesnt need it..... who knows???[*][align=left]EXHAUST - I suspect a blow up here.... Headers VS manifold, Long tubes VS shorties. torque vs hp..... your thoughts?[/align][/ol]Is there any other things I should do while I have the engine out? any tips,tricks?
