2000 Bravada..

When backing I get a noise that sounds similar to when you have bad brakes. However, this noise happens with the brakes are not pressed and doesn't change if you press the brakes harder. It makes the noise when going forward, but it's not as noticeable. Kind of embarrassing.

I suspect u-joints, but I thought I would see what every one else thought.

Is there a FIY/DIY on the u-joints? I tried to search for it, but the search doesn't like "u" in the search I suspect. Anyone have a link.

crawl under and see if there is any up and down motion in the drive shaft ...

Try spinning it and doing it again

Yup & twisting the drive shaft while watching to see if the shaft moves before the yoke/s.
