IAC valve

Default IAC valve

I have a 1996 Blazer 4 wheel drive with a 4.3 w engine that I'm starting to a rebuild and was wondering where the location of the iac valve is. Looking down on the engine from the front I see a unit the is between the thermostat and the water pump. I think it might be it but just not sure. Also I have a unit between the battery and the coolant resvior that I have look in the Haynes manual and I can't seem to figure this one out either. Electrical connection on one end and hose on the other.


Any Help?

What you are referring to is the EGR valve. The IAC valve is on the driver side of the throttle body towards the back.
