Hello, been having a strange problem for a few weeks where I am not getting any CEL, but when I am in gear stopped at a light the truck seems to bog down and then catch up and rev a little then idle back to normal. this doesn't happen every time i stop either only sometimes.
The other thing is that it seems to be running rich, smells like gas coming out the tailpipe when it idles.

If you don't have a scan tool, take it to a parts store and ask them to scan it for codes and see if you get any clues. I'd be suspicious that the MAF and/or EGR might need cleaning but that's just speculation. The Mass Air Flow sensors on these especially are notorious for getting dirty and causing it to run/idle rough. Fortunately if that's the problem it's a cheap and easy job at least.
