You haven't been reading in the right places 50 psi at 40F you'd be hard pressed to get it to run. Anything below 60psi WILL cause problems, and if it leaks down below 55psi, more problems. Check out the article, if you have questions, please ask Then post all 4 readings.

BTW, how old, and what brand is the distributor cap & rotor?

These things are real fussy with ignition parts. Aftermarket stuff doesn't cut it, especially distributor cap, rotor, and plugs. They all need to be AC Delco. Plug wires need to be good quality, not some el cheapo store brand. Distributor cap needs to have a dab of silicone dielectric grease on each terminal, inside and out. The terminals are aluminum and the grease helps reduce /eliminate corrosion.

Plenty of time for them to screw up. Check around the forum, there are many threads where members installed aftermarket stuff and it failed right out of the box! Trust me, there's a lot of cheap china crap out there, and auto parts are no exception. If the fuel pump takes a crap, don't even THINK about anything but AC Delco. Must be a thousand threads on that topic!

Yup, install an AC Delco distributor cap and rotor, and post all four readings for fuel pressure and leak down

Please post a photo of your distributor gear wear. Just want to make sure. Otherwise follow what the Captain says.
