Post Install remote start on a 98 Blazer that already has keyless entry

Hey guys. I am wanting to add remote start to my chevy blazer that already has keyless entry. The keyless entry at this time doesnt work. I have had my Blazer for only 8 months. The keyless entry worked when I first got the vehicle but has just suddenly stopped. I checked the battery and it works just fine. Not sure why it suddently doesnt work. But I was thinking of replacing the fob and i thought if it was easy enough i would just add remote start, if possible.

How hard would it be to add remote start when it already has keyless entry?

My remote start works in conjunction with the existing keyless entry. The module that was put in makes the truck start with two presses of the lock button. Before you buy a new key fob, I would attempt to re-program it to your truck. There is a thread somewhere on here with a how-to for re-programming but a quick search should take you to it.
