Default Instrument guage cluster issue

This morning I had my gauge cluster in my 2003 blazer act all crazy. As I was driving it started to light all all the dash warning lights and the guages went to zero. This was going on intermittently for about 10 minutes. It would switch from normal operation to crazy mode. The truck was still driving normal so I continued on. Eventually, I heard a pop in the speakers and everything went back to normal. Does anyone have any ideas what might have been the issue?

I am starting to suspect this is part of the ignition switch going out. This morning my truck would not start and all interior power was out. I looked at a few fuses and there were no issues. The battery is about 6 months old and there was no corrosion either. After looking around for causes I hopped back in the truck and it started up like nothing was wrong.
