Default Intake Manifold

my blazer has been overheating on and off. recently it got really bad. i took it to a mechanic to get it checked out. they told me my intake manifold was going bad. does this sound right to you guys?

No. Are you sure he did not say the intake manifold gasket was going bad? That could be a possibility.
