intake/ timing issues

Yeah, I've verifyed #1 is not getting gas. Like i said earlier I've chnaged this spider a cpl years ago.
If you could explain the steps you did to get it to squirt in the bottle.
I guess what I really need to know- Is the spider assy repairable. I bent the pin on the connector and think I damaged that area. See pic if it posts.
So ,if it's not squirting out of tube for #1, it's either clogged or something must be damaged and I'm thinking it's at the electrical connection area.
Can you take that rectangular area of the spider apart and test it and possibly fix it? They sell rebuilts so someones taking them apart.
Anyone here taken them apart?
Thanks, Jeff

Yes, It appears that yours is repairable. Just last week I posted my issues that were the same as yours except I had cylinder #5 misfire after the intake gasket replace. I replaced #5 injector only, problem fixed. FYI- AC Delco injector $140 local dealership, after market borg warner $65 at O'reilys. I had to get mine fixed and the dealership was closed so I went after market. It does Idle a little higher then normal now. Be very careful not to crack the plastic fuel block when removing the injector.

Pull the upper intake off. Recconect fuel lines and electrical connector. Disconnect electrical connector at coil. Pull the first poppet out of cyl one, leaving the rest in the lower intake. Stick it in the bottle and have someone crank while you watch.

Thanks Midnight, I try that when I pull it apart to check for
97 POS, I don't think these new spiders- scpi tp mfi conversion, you can't change the injector ends like the old spiders where you can replace an indv injector.
I'm asking if the main body can be taken apart and serviced. Or just plug in the electrical connector and not the gas lines and check electrically if each leg of the spider is working electrically. Anyone test this and find a way to service if not working? I'm guessing I'll be buying a new spider for my mistake of bending that pin.
Thanks, Jeff

So you've done the MPI conversion? You can still buy the individual injector if it turns out that one is bad. I have no idea about the main body, though.

yeah I did the conversion a cpl yrs ago. Oh I didn't realize you can replace just one. I guess I can swap a cpl and see if it's the injector end of if the main body is damged by me bending the pin. probably pull it apart this wkend and check. Thanks

You could try swapping #1 and #2 inejectors and see if the problem follows the #1 injector. If so, you know that the injector itself needs replacing. If it stays at #1 cyl, the problem may be in the wiring or someplace else.
