Default interior lights wont turn off

ok i have a 4 door 98 chevy blazer that i cant seem to turn the interior lights off normally. i can overide them but will stay on during normal conditions.. i have pulled all the door and hatch pin switches out all at the same time. i have the dimmer set low. i am starting to lean towards the ilcm or interior lamp control module. does anybody know where this thing would be located? i would like to check it out or maybe even replace it.

If you have removed all of the door switches, then it sounds like you have a wire pinched to ground in the door switch circuit.

Check out this diagnostic chart:

Did you check the switch at the rear hatch?

Update...well every problem i have run into has been the strangest reasons for the problem. come to find out my problem was actually caused by the drivers door lock assy. it has a sensor that senses when the handle is pulled up and and turns the interior lights on. the whole electronic plastic portion had become broken due to a wore out hinge on the door . so it was pulling on the rod that goes to the handle and was sensing the handle being pulled up. go figure.... hope this will help someone else out and give everybody an overlooked issue. the main thing you will notice is that your lock actuator will unlock but not lock on its own.
