Default intermitent air bag light

This morning I stopped for fuel and it was pretty hot out so I left my blazer idling a/c on with the wife and dog inside
When I jumped back in I put my seat belt on and noticed the air bag light was on
I drove for about a hour and we stopped for lunch
Shut the blazer off
When I restarted the air bag light flashed several time then stayed on
A little while down the road it went off and stayed off
Its a 05 base

BTW friday night when I jumped in to go camping It felt like a spring let go in the lumbar area of the drivers seat
Is there an air bag sensor in the seat back ??

I read somewhere that this is a common problem after getting either a pitman arm or idler arm replaced. Somehow a wire gets pinched by tool removing the old part.

I have same problem (98 Blazer 4x4) and it did appear after having repairs. I took a look but do not see where the pinch could occur. And I am wary of pulling on/off wiring connections - afraid I might set off an airbag!

Anyone know what to look for?

I had found a wiring diagram that showed a sensor in the seat
Mine started after what felt like a spring breaking in the lumbar area of the drivers seat
I have a pair of seats from an Integra that I plan on putting in
I figure when I get around to it I will open up the seat and look
