Default Intermittent HVAC compressor start up

2004 Chevy Blazer 4WD 191,000 miles with manual temperature control.
Recently I am experiencing the air conditioning not blowing cold. I have determined it has something to do with the wire that connects to the top of the compressor. I think it is the HVAC clutch coil connection. Sometimes when I turn on the ac the compressor does not come on, if I touch the wire that connects at the top of the compressor, the compressor turns on immediately. What do I need to do to repair this issue? I don't know how to tell if it is the wire end or if the HVAC clutch coil is going bad. I did replace the compressor and clutch assembly with new original equipment about 8 years ago. The compressor sounds good and blows super cold when it is on. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
