Default Issue Starting

Had an issue with starting the 99 Blazer yesterday for work. Would just click. Put jump box on it and started fine. Same thing when I was leaving work. So I assumed it was a battery and put a new one in today.

Put new battery in and it just clicked. Cycled key on and off, letting it click each time, and it eventually started. (No jump box).

Thinking started but want to get other opinion before I drop another $100 on a starter. This is just my winter beater with a heater.

Definitely sounds like a starter to me. If you tried a new battery and had the same result, and the connections are all good.

I'm going to double check the wires to/from the starter before I buy a new one but I'm guessing starter too.

Why cant these problems show up when its 70 and sunny, not 20 and snow in the forecast for the next couple days. LoL.
