Just bought a used blazer

When you open the doors there is a push in switch on the door jams .. Mine is a 2000 the front is actually on the side of the dash and back are between front and back doors.

I'd start with the drivers door .. (Most Used )

Oh you're talking about the thingy that's spring loaded and sticks out?

What they look like on back doors?

Am I supposed to unplug them somehow or what exactly?

Yes they should just pull out with a little pressure .. unplug it

OK if I pull it out it should shut the light off if it's a bad switch right?

I assume can probably buy a new switch h at AutoZone or similar?

right pull it out .. unplug the little clip/wires and see. you wont have to close the door . If it doesn't plug it back in and push it back into the hole a try a different door .

Out of curiosity, is there any chance it may just be bad connection? Like I take out old switch clean the connections and reconnect it might work?

It's possible .. If nothing else go to your local scrap yard ..they will probably give them to you .
