Default Key stuck in sometime 97 blazer

I did the thread looking and asking the questions to help understand more do to the manuals don't have no good info on this.

Mine mom car is a 97 S-10 blazer and key will get stick sometime after it get put in to park. To release the key, we move the floor shifter out of park a couple of time and turn the key it will pop out. I have try the spare set of factory cut key and it will do the samething. I don't think it the key side of it but more like the other end of the system. I have read that it is not a cable type system and it wire system. Is this right? If this is so where is the switch at to see if it need to be adjusted.

Also I read in a past thread that some one said it has a button under the key switch. I did fined a round looking button thing that push in. Would this be a saftey key release like the older switch with the button on the side.

Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks for the info.
On mine Saturn it has two cable. One is for the the trans and other go to the key saftey this is coming from the dealer. I got to remove the plastic to get to the shifter for adjusting. I was thinking it the same way for her Balzer but it is not. This look more like electronic then a cable.

In part 27 you will see a unmark round thing. I am thinking is where you push to get the key out. But can be wrong. Will have to take it about to see if it is.
