Default Key wont turn

I was driving around today stoping; here and there to get ready for a super bowl party. Got home and remembered i forgot eggs so my fiancee said she would run down and get some. She comes back in and says the key wont turn. so i went out thinking the steering lock must have locked or something. and i found that it was locked but i couldnt get it unlocked to save my life. i trying everything. so i jacked the front wheels up to see if maybe the lock was jammed. nothing.

after playing with it for about an hour i used some WD-40 and a shot it up in the lock and played with it more and still nothing.

Im kinda at a lose, i think a tumbler is stuck but im not sure.

That's great, but what was the cause and solution?

cause was a bent tumbler, it wouldn't let the rail fall flat. So i had to replace the whole piece. The local auto parts store had two in stock for $15 each so i got both of them.

Since i played around trying to get the key working i thought it was best to replace the thing instead of just removing that bent tumbler. So i got both of them hoping it would have enough of the right tumblers to code one of them to my key. and with both of them i had just enough.

Since i now knew my key code i went and had new keys cut seeing how mine where old and worn down.
