Default key wont turn back all the way

Lately I've been having a problem where my key won't turn back all the way so that i can get it out of the ignition. I play with the shifter and the steering wheel and have to mess with it for a few minutes sometimes. I don't know if the steering wheel or shifter have anything to do with it. Any bit of help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like the ignition cylinder is getting stuck. Have you tried some dry lock lubricant in the lock cylinder to see if you can get it freed up?

What year Blazer, auto or manual, floor or column shift - inquiring minds want to know.

It's a 2000, automatic column shift.

I'll give the dry lock lubricant a try, thanks.

Give the dry lube a try and make sure your key is in good shape. If that doesn't work then it's probably the ignition lock cylinder. Other possible culprits are the shift linkage adjustment and/or the linear shift assembly, but that's not likely.
