Default Keyless Entry, Bought RKE

Ok so i bought a RKE moudle off ebay so i can add keyless entry to my truck. I do not have that AUO code or something like that. I also know that you have to buy the right remotes that match with the FCC ID, so my question is i heard that you had to bring it to a dealer so they can program the BCM, is this true cause i really wouldnt perfer to bring it to the dealer but if any of you work at a dealer or any one in general can i just plug this thing and do the programing to make it work?

Plug it in and try to enter the programming mode. It will either work or it will not.

Dont know how much you paid, but probably would have been easier just to buy a RKE system from circuit city/best buy...theyre like 50-60 bucks, and come with all sorts of fun tech support help.
