Default keyless entry questions

hey guys, im new here and had a few questions (nice forum btw). but my questions are concerning the remote keyless entry system. i own a 2000 blazer ls (just bought it) and apparently it doesn't have keyless entry, as GM says so. but i beg to differ considering there is a black box that is towards the back of the engine with newish wires and all that. my questions are 1.)what does the keyless entry transmitter look like and where would it be? 2.)how much would it cost to have gm do it? (or would i be better off getting an aftermarket one). thanks guys. drive safe! :-P

Lookup your RPO codes, or call gm and give them your VIN. You can search for the many threads on this topic also.

in your glovebox there is a stivker with a whole bunch of numbers. that is the rpo codes. regular production options (i think thats the name of them) Write them all down, then put them in the decoder found in this post. will tell you lots of things about your blazer, including whether you have keyless entry.
