I just installed a remote start with keyless entry on my 1997 blazer. Remote start part of everything works great and as it should. My question is on the keyless entry part of it. My blazer doesn't have factory keyless entry. I was reading on how to install it and in the book it has like 8 different types of door lock systems that are available. I have no idea what type my blazer has so if anyone could help me out or let me know just how to get it working that would be a great help. thank you

Remove the door panel & take pics & compare them to choices? Possibly the RPO has info, we have a link to RPO's in here.

Well it doesn't show the choices it just describes them. The choices out of the installation book are:
Type A: three wire + pulse controlling factory lock relays
Tybe B: three wire - pulse controlling factory lock relays
Type C: Direct wired reversing polarity switches
Tybe D: Adding one or more aftermarket actuators
Type E: electrically activated vacuum systems
Type F: One wire system - cut to lock, ground to unlock
Type G: pisitive + mulitplex
Type H: negative - multiplex
The install guide then goes into detail on how to wire for each different type. but i have no idea how to wire mine.

Have you got a manual for your blazer? My Haynes for '95 - 2004 Blazers say:
Power door locks are operated by bi-directional solenoids located in the doors. The lock switches have two operating positions: Lock & Unlock. These switches activate a relay which in turn connects voltage to the door lock solenoids. depending which way the relay is activated, it reverses polarity, allowing the 2 sides of the circuit to be used alternately as the feed (+) & the ground side.
Not sure if that helps. Seems like Type A to me
