Hello all, I have a question about converting a Blazer with power door locks toa remote keyless entry system with GM parts from a salvage vehicle? Can this be done? Is there a pigtail somewhere under the dash that all you have to do is plug in a module then program remotes? If so where is it located? Thanks for any help.

Alrighty then.

*Moving to 2nd Gen Tech*

The RKE module sits on top of the lower kick panel under the driver side dash (above the pedals). It will attach to the kick panel itself just behind the Data Link Connector (DLC):


If the wiring is there, it should look something like this:

do you know for sure that your Blazer did not come with keyless entry allowing you to just program fobs? JP[&o]

You could either check for the RKE receiver module as shown in the pictures I posted or the RPO code label on the inside of the glove box for AU0 (A U zero).
