What the heck do you think? Light popped on earlier today. Stopped in at the AutoZone and got it scanned. P1683
This diagnostic applies to internal microprocessor integrity conditions within the powertrain control module (PCM). This diagnostic also addresses if the PCM is not programmed.
Diag chart says if no P0602 is present, replace PCM. No other codes. Runs great. Might just wait it out to see if it acts up.

Been there, done that. When PCM's go Bad. You'll have to replace the PCM and have the new one programmed to your VIN.

Just drove it and the light was out. Checked it. No active codes. I made sure the connection to the PCM was secure. Hopefully that is all it was. We shall see.

Odds are that the code will come back since P1683 means one of the drivers for the PCM is faulty. Mine was running fine also, but eventually something will go south due to info not getting processed correctly. Keep your fingers crossed.
