Left turn signal issue

Left turn signal issue
Ok - you guys have saved my rear end before, I'm hoping it happens again... here is the issue:
Vehicle is a 99 Olds Bravada. 4.3L V6.
The left turn indicator stopped working. When you select for a left turn the arrow on the dash stays on. If you manually move it up and down, the front flashes fine. both R and L front seem to be fine. When i manually flash from the steering column, the rear does nothing. The bulbs looked fine. I even replaced both just to make sure. No corrosion on either inside the light fixture. It does have a trailer harness which I cleaned but, it still has the issue. One other thing I did notice was when I manually flashed the indicator, the center (top) mounted brake light flashed occasionally...
ANy help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated as I was recently laid off and can't really afford to bring this thing to a mechanic in right now.
Thanks!!!
Jeff

RE: Left turn signal issue
check fuses, open your hood and look at the fuses in your engine compartment. There are fuses for LF TURN & RT TURN check them, there should be 2 sets of LF TURN & RT TURN (front left and right, rear left and right. You can find where they are by looking on the back of the fuse box cover. If all of your fuses are good id say maybe bad blinker relay.

RE: Left turn signal issue
Just had a similar issue on my 95. I know it's a different light configuration but I'd say that your turn signal lamp probably has 2 elements in the bulb and one is bad. Try changing the bulb.

RE: Left turn signal issue
Sorry guys, forgot to mention I did check all the fuses and replaced both bulbs.
Although, I seemed to have solved my own problem. It looks like it was the trailer harness that caused the problem. There was some corrosion around the connector. I cleaned that off and it seems to be working fine now.
Thank for the suggestions!
