I got a 'SES' light on the dash and went to O'Reilly's to get the DTC's read. They gave me a long list of codes, most were unfamiliar. BTW we have just had a drop in temps from a very warm couple of weeks. The list was:
B0016: B0036: U1041: U1064, P0455: P0463: P0455:
B0016 is Passenger side air bag deployment loop resistance low/resistance high/ short to ground or voltage.
B0036 is Discriminating sensor circuit voltage high.
P0455 is Evap. emisssion control system leak detected( gross leak/no flow).
P0463: Fuel level signal high.
U1041: ?
U1064: ?
Blazer is a 2003 LS 2 door with 4WD, auto trans. and 97,300 miles. Is there any link to all these DTC's? For example, if the ignition switch was bad, would it throw these codes? That's what the O'Reilly's guy suggested.

The "U" codes are communication issues within the network. Quite likely the "U" codes triggered the others. Clear all codes and perform a General Motors Driving Cycle . If the "U" codes return, they need to be diagnosed and repaired first, so all of the onboard modules can communicate with each other.

Thanks, Captain, I will do that as soon as I find my 'bottom of the line' Actron. Cancel the codes, that is. I don't believe my Actron will recognize the 'U' codes, but I should be able to cancel those others: P0455 and P0463. In the meantime it is running fine.

I found my scanner and 'Erased' the code, which at that time was only one: the P0455 code. P9455 is a Evap. emisions control system gross leak. I tried tightening the gas cap and then did a GM Driving Cycle. A subsequent code scan showed nothing and the SES is gone, of course. Thanks, Captain! Now my Blazer 4WD is ready for the Middle Atlantic snow storm this weekend.
