Looking at buying a Blazer

I say go for it they are a good vehicle, dependable, as with any vehicle ya gotta due the maintenance. I have a 2002 4 door Blazer with 355km runs like a top

Lol... yeah and I need a new tank of gas after 250 miles, new windshield wipers every year, and have to take it to the car wash once a week. These things suck you should buy something else!

Thank you for your input and I am sorry your not happy with your truck. This does help a lot.

In my case I would be doing the work myself, and I can do all but the transmission rebuild. Maybe that will change in the future though

Thanks to all for your comments, very much appreciated. I will post pics of the new ride if I get one.

Default 2WD vs 4WD

I say go for it if you can find one in good condition Stick with the 03-05. I also say get a 2WD unless it is absolutely necessary to have 4WD where you live. 2WD Blazers are much easier to work on and maintain. Much cheaper and better gas mileage.

Thanks I would not mind driving a 2wd but I live in Pennsylvania and there are times I need the 4wd. I have 2 4wd pickups and my wife has the Jimmy and I have to say her Jimmy does the best in the snow. That is one of the main reasons for getting one is for the winter driving. If I lived in the south (hopefully someday) I would not hesitate in buying and driving a 2wd for all the reasons you mention.
