What is the best way to get all the air out of the colant system? I get a gurgle when I speed up sometimes and I am guessing i am low on colant in the radiator/engin.
Do I just keep squeezing the upper hose untill I can not get any more colant in?

but if the fan clutch seized up would the fan still run...cause since its always running that would make perfect sense....meaning it never lets the engine get up to operating temp, but i figured if the clutch seized the fan wouldn't run at all, but i'm probably wrong...in fact i hope im wrong, because that would be an easy fix....and i'm about over this truck

...also just to add the temp gauge never gets to operating temp...only gets just a notch or two above zero, but ever since the outside air temps have dropped its been like that, not the SES light, but just the gauge not getting up to normal temp...

..also if it matters...2004 ZR-2 4.3
How many degrees is the new thermostat rated for? Having one that opens at lower temperatures will keep your truck from ever getting to operating temerature.

I believe the thermostat is rated at 195 degrees. Having the fan clutch locked up and running direct should have no significant effect on the engine coming up to operating temperature.

does the temp gauge rise and fall or does it stay constant? is the new thermostat a fail safe? ive heard of those locking open on the first run.
