Default Major Problem - Nothing Working After Dead Battery

Hi Guys,

So my Blazer was sitting around all summer (I drove it once) and when I went to start it last week it was dead. I just decided to replace the battery because the other one was getting old. The truck starts and idles no problem, but I have no odometer, shift gear position light, or any interior lights. Also when I try to drive it the transmission will not shift out of first gear.

After pulling it out and back into the driveway a DTC came on but I didn't have my code reader with me to check it. Also, the truck is at my cottage so I don't have easy access to play around with it right now.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? would it be as simple as a blown fuse in the engine or something more serious like the engine management unit.

Worst case I will have to tow it to a mechanic and pay for them to look at it.

Thanks for your help guys.

I would start by checking fuses, but if you rarely use the cottage then you might have to worry about wire damage from a rodent.
